Jacob Hammon, DVM

Dr. Jacob Hammon became a member of the Kulshan Large Animal team in late 2013.  Originally from central Illinois, he practiced in Oregon’s Willamette valley for six years.   Dr. Hammon received two Bachelor’s of Science degrees (03,04) and a DVM from the University of Illinois (05); there he gained valuable experience in sheep, dairy, beef, and swine husbandry, along with Production Medicine reproductive technologies.   He is a member of the Academy of Dairy Veterinary Consultants, American Association of Swine Veterinarians, American Association of Bovine Practitioners, American Association of Small Ruminant Practitioners, Washington State Veterinary Medical Association, Tri-County Veterinary Medical Association, and MENSA.  Dr. Hammon hopes to continue growing his skills and services with the opportunity Kulshan’s exceptional teamwork and staff can provide.When not in overalls Jacob enjoys the Northwest’s beautiful weather and scenery.  His hobbies include most things automotive (esp. MOPARs), winter snowboarding, summer and fall hiking, and otherwise keeping fit.

Normal Large Animal service ends at 1:00 pm on Saturdays. After hours Large Animal emergency service is available by calling our same phone number. After hours Small Animal service is available through Animal Emergency Care at 4176 Meridian St, Bellingham. Their phone number is 360-758-2200.
